We hope that as you have looked through the website and feel that Language Learners can assist if you want to learn a language fast, or need help passing language exams. We hope that we have answered all of your questions, however we’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions that are quite explicit, which should fill in any gaps that you have!  Simply click on the question and the content draw will open with the answer.

Which languages do you offer?
We currently offer French, German and English as a foreign language. We also have an extensive network of contacts in other fields, so if you require a different language please do get in touch.
Can I have classes at my home or office?

During the Covid-19 pandemic we are primarily offering tuition online.  As guidance allows, we will also be opening up to face-to-face tuition. Travel costs apply so please contact us with your location and we can advise.

Are your tutors qualified?
Our tutors hold degree-level qualifications in the languages they teach or have mother-tongue competence. In the case of English they have a TESOL or CELTA qualification.
Do your tutors have a DBS certificate?
All of our tutors who have contact with students under the age of 18 hold a current DBS certificate or the equivalent from their home country.
Where is your classroom?
Our classroom is in Woking. However, if you have a group of students then we are able to teach in your company meeting room or board room.
Which coursebook do you use?
We use a variety of coursebooks. Rather than slavishly working through one book from start to finish, we prefer to take the most relevant parts from different resources to really tailor your tuition. This may include books written specifically for adults, or children, our own worksheets and real-life examples such as brochures, flyers, newspapers and websites.
Do you set homework?
Self-study is an important part of your toolkit when learning a language. It is much more efficient if you are able to set aside a few short sessions each week for practice. We are happy to guide you in this, either with ongoing recommendations or with specific exercises.
How much will it cost?

What are your open hours?
We offer tuition 6 days a week, Monday-Friday 9am-9pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm.
What happens if I have to cancel a class?
Language Learners operates a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you give us 24 hours notice or more, then there is no fee to pay. Between 2-24 hours notice attracts a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the class. Less than 2 hours notice will be charged at 100% of the class fee.
Do you have a bad weather policy?

Yes, we do. If bad weather (rain, snow, etc.) means that you cannot reach us for your class then we offer tuition by Zoom or Skype with no cancellation fee to pay. Otherwise our normal cancellation policy applies. If the class is to be held at your location then our tutor will contact you to discuss access or offer Zoom/Skype tuition as an alternative.
